Victim Advocacy

What is the role of a Victim Advocate?

Our Victim Advocates at ASSIST Indiana are highly trained professionals with expertise in the neurobiology of trauma and its effects on individuals and families. They are committed to connecting you with valuable resources, providing support, and guiding you through your healing journey.

Our advocates possess extensive knowledge of the resources and programs available within the community and the state. They are equipped to assist you in accessing additional support as necessary. For access to local and state resources, please visit the “Resources” tab on our main webpage.

In addition, our advocates can assist with the electronic or in-person filing of a Protective Order at the courthouse. Appointments are required for this service.

We are also able to provide accompaniment for petitioners during specific hearings for added support.

Walk-ins are welcome.
